What is Birmingham Greyhounds?

A bunch of greyhound-owners in the metro-Birmingham area with interests in one of the coolest animals on the planet. We meet informally to socialize with other grey-owners and share experiences, knowledge, and most importantly to let the hounds hang-out with others of the same temperment. We let them run off-leash on the weekend at an event known as The Romp. If you would like more information, or would like to see what we do, please check the calendar, or join the

I am interested in adopting a greyhound

Although greyhounds are wonderful animals, they are not for everyone. Given their fragile coats and frames, they are not well designed for outdoor life. There are several sites with abundant information about adopting, raising, and caring for the amazing greyhound. Or you can adopt directly from the Birmingham Race Course by downloading the adoption form. If you are unsure about greyhounds as a pet, please join us for our weekly romp, where we bring the hounds out to stretch their legs. Please check the calendar for time and location
