'Promenade' - from Merriam-Webster
Etymology: French, from promener to take for a walk
1 : a place for strolling
2 : a leisurely walk or ride especially in a public place for pleasure or display
What is it?
Several things all rolled into one: A parade, an alternative to the romps, a PR campaign, and a chance to socialize and stretch legs. A parade of sorts, to showcase our pups, in a community that is known for it's acceptance of dogs, and is also known for a large population a greyhound owners. Another chance for us to socialize, walk our pups, and gain some attention and new members from a community with a very dense greyhound population. This will be the first promenade, and the next will be in a different, hopefully high profile community. All suggestions are welcome.
Who can particpate?
Anybody who has a greyhound that can walk 3/4 mile in the shade with a bunch of other hounds.
